Hair Care
Washing/Conditioning
- Gently detangle hair using a wig brush.
- Holding the hair wefts/clips in your hands, wet with cool water.
- Gently work shampoo through hair from top to bottom with your fingers, rinse with cool water.
- Gently work conditioner from top to bottom with your fingers rinse with cool water.
- Pat dry with a towel. Avoid wringing or twisting.
- Comb wet hair from the bottom to top using gentle downward strokes one section at a time. Never begin combing at the top or middle and always comb down.
Drying
- Allow hair to air dry either clipped on a string or hung on hanger.
- You may use a blow dryer to achieve a natural "blow-dried" look or blow dry it as straight as possible before pressing for a straightened look.
Coloring
Bleaching and lightning the hair will change the texture of the hair and in some cases cause damage to the hair. Our “Blown Away” texture can be lifted up to #30. We recommend consulting with a professional for coloring.
Sleeping
We want you and your hair to get its proper beauty rest and to do so, be sure to follow these tips.
- Never sleep in wet hair, allow hair to dry before slumber.
- Wrap hair at night in a satin or silk scarf. It’s always good to sleep on a Satin pillowcase for added protection.
- If you are wearing a “braid or twist out” we always recommend combing out and re-braiding/re-twisting the hair at night to prevent tangles.
To sum it up, we all know less is best and this is true when it comes to caring for your Manely Mine Extensions. This hair reacts just as your real hair would so, treat it with some TLC; if not it will surely show its ugly side. Since this hair goes through a steaming process to obtain its textures, we recommend using heat as less as possible to ensure the integrity of the hair. Heat damage is real both with your natural hair and with your MM Extensions darling.
